Greetings dear readers and friends! Summer is already in full swing here and we are hot, hot, hot. No one is complaining though, as this is one of the best times of the year. The region is abuzz with festivals, concerts, arts’ programs, and every possible sort of foodie event imaginable.
I had the pleasure of attending an “Eductour” hosted by the Maison de la Truffe in Aups and what an amazing, and delicious, experience. If you’re not familiar with this charming village, it is literally a stone’s throw from the Gorges du Verdon and rich in cultural and culinary traditions.
This is also an important wine-growing and olive-oil producing region, along with attracting tourists from all around the globe. Other beautiful villages to visit in this area include Villecroze, Tourtour, Salernes, and a bit further out, Cotignac.
