Greetings dear readers and friends. Christmas is just around the corner and we’ve been enjoying all of the holiday decorations in the local towns and villages. Today I wanted to share with you a lovely walk we had through the village of Le Castellet during a “bloggers’ weekend” organized by hotel Mas du Brulat.
Along with myself, there were three other bloggers from around Provence – From Toulon with Love, Provence Living, and Provence Encore, Provence Toujours. We were treated like royalty by Su and her amazing staff. And for a group of busy ladies at the height of Christmas season, we couldn’t have been happier, or more thankful. More on our great retreat a bit later…
After lunch, we headed out for Le Castellet to visit their Christmas market and stroll through the village’s picturesque streets and alleyways. And as much as we are frequent visitors (I love this village!), it was wonderful to discover a few new shops and vendors I’d never seen before.
A new favorite, tucked away in a corner on the upper-end of the village, is a boutique that specializes in dried flower arrangements – Rosa Trésor. The decoration on the front of the shop really caught our attention, as did the homemade ornaments. I was able to pick up a heart made of twigs which was tied with a white ribbon (sounds a bit funny, but the photo below does it more justice) as a gift and one for myself to add to our tree at home.
All in all, they did a wonderful job decorating Le Castellet for the holiday season and we were all transported to old-world Provence.
Wishing you a très Joyeux Noël and Merveilleuse Année 2019!
